1. Assimilation of New Members Sub-Committee
(a) In collaboration with the Evangelism committee devise a workable plan of assimilation with the goal of bringing new members into the full life of the church.
(b) Be responsible for the general fellowship of the church.
(c) Hold New Member Receptions, regularly.
2. Nurture Sub-Committee
(a) Coordinate with the pastor and/or Clerk of Session, to provide care for persons in the congregation with special pastoral needs and assist in ministering to these needs.
(b) Be responsible for keeping a constant check on the members of the congregation so that the Pastor and Session may be conscious of those becoming inactive in the church. Take the steps necessary to bring those who have become inactive back into a vital fellowship with the church.
(c) Keep records of attendance at each worship service and report quarterly to the Session any persons who have not attended worship that quarter.
(d) At least once each year, recommend to the Session those members who are to be restored to the active roll and those who are to be retired to the inactive roll.
(e) Organize, coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the Nurture group program, make certain each member of the congregation is assigned to a Nurture Group, and that each group has a leader and an active program. Coordinate congregational needs through the Nurture groups as appropriate.
3. Membership Enrichment Sub-Committee
(a) Be responsible for planning, scheduling, and implementing Sunday lunches, Christmas Dinner, Church Picnic, International Dinner with Talent and Art and Crafts Shows, receptions, and other events as needed.
(b) Plan and implement programs and activities that will enrich the community life of the church (e.g. Recycling & Environmental stewardship concerns).
4. Retreat Sub-Committee
In collaboration with the Education and Worship Ministries plan and execute the Fall Retreat. Funds shall be budgeted for the Retreat.
