During the month of December, 154 families/ 547 individuals were served; and 4,065 pounds of food were distributed. Thank you, Hillside, for your steadfast support of this ministry!
Standing food requests include: cereal, rice, pasta, macaroni & cheese, dried beans, instant potatoes, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, chili/stew but will take anything you are kind enough to donate. HILLSIDE SCHOLARSHIP FUND |
|
Hillside has a scholarship/education fund which has helped some of our college students in the past. To access this fund, students will need to have at least a 2.3 (out of 4.0) grade point average, complete a scholarship/education fund application, provide proof of receiving a high school diploma, and proof of acceptance in a college or job training certification program. Please make donations in the envelopes found in the pews and indicate “Education Fund”. |

PARTNERSHIP-CHRISTIAN EDUCATION BOOK CLUB |

The Partnership Ministry and First Presbyterian Christian Education collaborative Book Club will meet again on Sunday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich. We will be continuing our discussion of “Who is your neighbor?” How well do we really know those who are in our daily world and what barriers keep us from relating to them?
